Who knew there would be so much to booking the right photographer and videographer?! We just want to make sure that we're giving you the best experience ever, so we've listed out the steps to our process from the beginning to the end and we answered some questions that have been frequently asked.

We hope that after reading through this page you've gained an idea on how Nick and I work as a business. We really care about the experience you're getting. It's called "investment" because it is. Photos are a look into the past and are meant to be taken. Meant to be seen. We hope that when you decide to fill out the inquiry form you know everything you need to know. We hope that knowing everything you need to know will help make your decision to booking us a little easier.

FIRST - ESTABLISHING A RELATIONSHIP

We love to get to know our clients and become friends during this process and it's all for good reasons. First being, who doesn't love new friends?! Second, think about it. We're going to be spending anywhere between 6-10 hours with you on your wedding day. Sometimes more! Kind of a big deal and we feel that with friendships come trust and with trust comes a peace of mind.

SECOND - BOOKING

Next is the booking process! After you've read through everything on this page and all your questions have been answered via the FAQ section and investment page, you can start the process of submitting an inquiry! An inquiry is a place where Nick and I can learn what you're looking for and your expectations are as well as information about you! Like we said above we want to get to know you!

THIRD - ENGAGEMENT SESSION

So this doesn't apply to those who are here for family or portrait sessions but those who are here for weddings. We talk about how it's crucial that we have a connection with each other. Engagement sessions are a great way to meet each other for the first time and establish that connection. It's also a good time to feel out how we go about photographing you. The different words we might say and the different scenarios we'll put you in. Not to mention engagement sessions make for a great date night and are awesome to use for your save the dates!

FOURTH - PLANNING

After you book your wedding, and we've done your engagement photos, it's time to buckle down and plan! About a month before your wedding date I will draft up a photo/video timeline to ensure we a don't miss out on all the opportunity to document something special! We've been to around 100 weddings and have lists of vendors should you still need one, and wisdom if you need help trying to put something into place.

If you're here for a family session or a portrait session it's still important to plan! Where do you want to do it, what do you want to wear?

FIFTH - TODAY'S THE DAY!

We're there to help make sure your wedding day goes smoothly. We're there to lend a helping hand when needed and to photograph every moment of the day. We're there to explore new places with you and your family and help guide you to getting the most natural of photos. We've planned, we've prepped. Today's the day!

SIXTH - DELIVARY

When your wedding or photo session is over we love to get a sneak peek out to you in the following days. Delivery for weddings takes anywhere between 8-12 weeks and sessions take about 2 weeks. A few wedding packages include a flash drive, everything includes an online gallery where you can download all your photos to your computer and purchase prints right from the gallery! Albums are available for all just ask us for the order form for pricing!

I would love that! I'm from the mid-Cape and would love to sit down and talk with you over some coffee or ice cream! If we're not near each other, no problem! I'd love to hop on a call or FaceTime call.

DAY OF WEDDING

DO YOU HAVE AN ASSISTANT OR SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER/VIDEOGRAPHER?

As of right now we do not have assistants. We do however have a list of second photographers we like to use in the case Nick is shooting video in addition to photo for your wedding day. If not, and he doesn't have his own wedding, Nick will be your second photographer! We take the husband and wife team so seriously ;)

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUR EQUIPMENT BREAKS OR MALFUNCTIONS?

In this digital world it is assumed that things will break or malfunction. In that case, we have extra equipment we bring to ensure we can continue to document your day! Same goes for engagement, family, and portrait sessions.

ARE YOU INSURED?

Yes!

PHOTO/VIDEO GENERAL QUESTIONS

WILL ALL OF MY PHOTOS BE EDITED?

Yes, all of your images are print ready; they're edited for exposure, contrast, sharpness, and color tone.

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE?

Portrait sessions average about 80-150 images while most weddings range between 600-1200 images. Depends on how busy of a session it is.

HOW LONG BEFORE WE SEE OUR PHOTOS/VIDEOS?

Portraits: 2-4 Weeks // Weddings: 8-12 Weeks
Sneak peaks will be provided within the week after the wedding.

HOW WILL OUR WEDDING PICTURES BE DELIVERED?

All galleries, wedding and sessions, will be delivered via an online download gallery!

CAN WE HAVE THE RAW FOOTAGE?

Unfortunately we do not give out the RAW footage and there is a few reasons for this:
1. The feature film includes all the usable footage. Everything from getting ready to the reception, including the entire ceremony/speeches/first dances, etc., so you are getting the entire wedding day in that feature film.
2. It doesn't represent our work at all. Not everything we film is usable. Sometimes we will film 10 of the same things. It also just looks bad as it's not color-graded (or edited for color and contrast).
3. It is also way too big of a file to send. Sometimes we can walk away with about 200gb of footage. The clips that we film are either really short b-roll or long clips with lots of random motion, jerking, starting and stopping, etc. And we mic people who are talking so we would need to match up the audio.

CAN I SHARE THEM ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

Of course! You can share then on all social medias. You are only asked to please not edit or modify them or use them for commercial purposes. We also ask that you tag us when you post them as well. We love to see you share them!

CAN I ADD ON AN ALBUM AFTER I BOOK?

You can! Your gallery print store now offers a variety of albums that you can create and make exactly how you want it!

DO YOU OFFER DRONE FOOTAGE?

We do offer drone footage, weather permitting, and as long as the location allows for it.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A HIGHLIGHT AND \FEATURE FILM?

A highlight film is a short film containing all the highlights of your wedding day edited to music/voice overs that is anywhere from 4-10 minutes long.
The feature film is your entire wedding day edited into a movie. It includes your entire ceremony and any speeches made at the reception. That can be anywhere from 35-65 minutes long.

OTHER

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK OUR ENGAGEMENT SESSION?

Engagement sessions can be done any time before your wedding. Most do them within 1-2 months after getting engaged, or as soon as there's nicer weather. The latest I've done them are 6 months before.

Most people use the images for save the dates, engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, and guest books! So we want to make sure there's enough time do that!

We do only book engagement sessions M-F, usually during golden hour. Weekends are weddings and elopements!

WHAT TO WEAR TO YOUR ENGAGEMENT/FAMILY/PORTRAIT SESSION,

Trying to figure out what to wear to your photo shoot? Let me give you some pointers.
1. Please do not match, ever! It's a thing of the past and a fad I just cannot get behind.
2. Neutral/Earthy warm tones are my favorite color to photograph. They're easy on the eye and work in in every setting.
3. Think about the location. You don't want to show up in black tie attire at the beach. It works better in an urban setting.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?

If I had to label our work, I'd label it as - Natural/Photojournalist. We have a strong use of color and contrast and 100% believe in capturing things as they unfold. With that being said, I have no issue taking control of the day and making sure things are running on time if needed. We're all about telling your story as it is and creating images that will make you feel all the feels.

DO YOU VISIT THE WEDDING VENUE/PHOTOSHOOT SIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING/SESSION?

The best part about my job is photographing in places we have never photographed in before. If we're shooting a wedding or session nearby and have the time to visit, we will but it is not needed. I actually prefer to see the location the day off. Sparks some creative juices!

DO WE HAVE TO FEED YOU AT OUR WEDDING?

We do require a meal if you have us stick around to photograph your reception. Whether it's a meal provided by your caterer or an hour long break so we can get something to eat. I also strongly suggest that we are fed at the same time the bridal party is fed. I want to make sure I don't miss anything!
